Keystone Foods is committed to conducting our business in a manner that protects the safety and health of our employees, visitors and the local communities. We are guided by Keystone's Code of Conduct, as well as applicable occupational safety and health regulations.
We encourage all employees to take responsibility and ownership for their personal safety, and we provide the leadership and support for them to do so. Keystone Foods seeks opportunities to improve worker safety performance by establishing objectives and targets and measuring our progress. We regularly review and evaluate programs and solicit input from employees to meet safety goals. We promote open and constructive relationships with employees, regulatory agencies, public officials and contractors, and share information across the supply chain.
In 2012, Keystone Foods developed a Safety Center of Excellence (CoE) as a means to strengthen communications, share best practices, review lessons learned and enhance alignment globally. Quarterly webinars are facilitated by the Corporate Safety team with representatives designated by senior management from each operating division. The Keystone Foods Safety CoE is tasked with a unique challenge: to continually improve Keystone Foods industry leading Safety and Health program. As part of the CoE, a Global Safety Data Collection Program was developed to standardize the process of reporting and auditing global Safety and Health data. Safety and Health goals and objectives have progressed to include both leading and lagging indicators with full alignment between corporate, divisions and business units. The Safety CoE has not only benchmarked between divisions but has also reached out to industry competitors to share best practices and seek opportunities for continuous improvement. The Keystone Foods Safety CoE has proven to be a successful forum to consistently deliver positive results in an efficient and effective manner.
